This is an
Antique Mauchline Ware Treen Robert Burns Cottage Scotland Sewing Needle & Case.
Measuring 3 1/2" high x 2 1/2"  wide x 5" opened.  The front of this case has a scene of the Interior of Robert Burns' Cottage and is written Interior of Burn's Cottage, Made of Wood which grew On The Banks Of The Doon, Bought in the Cottage.  Inside is a packet of 2 sewing needles and a 3" long needle which slips through the three fabric  tabs and keeps the case sold.  Inside is lined with blue fabric.   The two wood panels are securely attached to a black fabric.
